Two-Second Tips for Life

You can probably think of certain individuals who have encouraged or supported you at different stages in your life?

These people may have shared a few simple insights that really helped you to ‘see the wood for the trees’ at the time – and may have even helped to shape the person you are and how you think today.

Here are 5 Quick Tips – ‘pearls of wisdom’ that we’ve found particularly useful:

  1. Action

Sometimes it’s more appropriate to say “sorry” rather than “please.” Sometimes it’s better to seek forgiveness rather than ask for permission. At least you will have taken the action you wanted.

  1. Attitude

Attitude is a choice, recognise that you choose to feel the way you do.

Take responsibility for your actions. Think of it as “response-ability” – you do have a choice.

  1. Change

The only certainties are death, taxes and… change… relentless change.

Change is here to stay – so get used to it! Be open to new ways and stretch your comfort zone.

Remember: If you always do what you always did – you’ll always get what you always got.

Let go of things you can’t change.  Concentrate on things you can.

  1. Common sense

It may well be common sense, yet surprisingly, it’s so often not common practice.

  1. Communication

Don’t try to read other people’s minds.  Don’t make other people try to read yours. Communicate.
